Yuzu Izakaya *.

Cute Japanese izakaya! :)
I tried the frozen beer foam drink here. I didn't like the foam part but my boyfriend does - it's really cute for pictures though! Service was excellent - our waitress checked on us in good intervals and she was very friendly.

SAPPORO with cute foam

TAKOWASA
I'm so happy with the amount of seaweed that comes with this dish.. Usually I run out of seaweed before I finish up the takos. Yummy!

SALMON + NATTO
I love natto so I loved this dish! It's an acquired taste so not many people can take the flavour. Very yummy - great textures within the mix (and more seaweed comes with it :D)

SPICY SCALLOP ROLL
It smells so good!! Very delicious - not spicy to a point that you need to drink something. Just right!

TEMPURA UDON
I like how the udon is still chewy and not mushy. Not a big fan of tempura but my boyfriend said it was very good.

GINDARA
(Grilled black cod fish)
Marinated very well - loved this! So sweet and the portions were perfect.

Neuhaus Chocolatier *.

Calling all chocolate lovers - Neuhaus is amazing :)
Finally opened my box of chocolates from Brussels!!
Here are my artsy pictures of the unveil hahaa :P

I've never had a bad-chocolate-experience with Neuhaus chocolatier so far.
Worthy of the price (very pricey though..).. but chocolate lovers be chocolate lovers.

* Process of un-boxing *

Loved the ones I've chosen so far.
Best one is probably the top right: gianduja with crisped rice :)

Lamesa Filipino Kitchen *.

We all thought we were going to eat with our hands for this GNO dinner haha.. Turns out they only have the "eat with your hands" / "artsy dinner" on Sundays. TECHNICALLY we can always eat with our hands but nah - utensils it is loll

Service was excellent - there was only one waiter for the night but he was quick on his feet.
3 stars for the food and +1 star for the service.

DRINKS:
LOLO COOL J
(Tropical pineapple, bourbon and ginger cocktail)
A fruity cocktail with a light alcohol taste to it. Very delicious (which is why the alchy might catch up to you!)

MERIENDA:
TOASTED SIOPAO
(7up glazed pork, lettuce, aioli, milk bun)
7-up glazed pork sounded so different that we really wanted to try it out! Very yummy - but portion sizes were very small.

WATERMELON SALAD
(Jicama, basil, maalat, chili, citrus, pinipig)
We didn't really like this dish. The sauce was a bit off with the watermelon pairing.

GULAY:
ENSALADANG TALONG
(Charred eggplant, adobong caponata, maalat, creme fraiche)

GINATAAN KOLIPLOR
(Fried, grilled, puree, pickled, and raw cauliflower, coconut)

Both of the "GULAY" dishes lean towards a sour-y taste and it's not my preference for veggie dishes.

ULAM:
SALMON ESCABECHE
(Seared salmon filet, carrot, plantain, sorrel and ginger glaze)
This one was seared soo well! The salmon was so smooth.

LECHON KAWALI
(Pork belly, atchara, Mang Tomas, sawsawan)
So much fatty goodness with this one - tasted lovely with the pairing sauces on the side.

ADOBONG MANOK
(Seared chicken thigh, soy vinegar jus, black garlic)
Tasted like jerk chicken haha - pretty yummy.

CALDERETA
(Beef shortrib, potato, heirloom carrot, red wine and tomato jus)
The beef shortrib was very tender - I liked this dish.
Maybe I got lucky with a good piece of meat because the other girls said theirs was too dry.

Drinks on me ;)

Bang Bang Ice Cream & Bakery *.

Who doesn't love ice cream?
Even better when it's really good ones too - came here for a GNO night after dinner.
To our surprise, there wasn't a line up! (We were so lucky!)

The list of the ice cream flavours ^

I got the:

BURNT TOFFEE FLAVOUR - ICE CREAM SANDWICH
Amazing! They have little toffee bits within the ice cream that makes it even better :)
The ice cream sandwich makes it easier to eat because they put it in a little container - not as messy.

My friends' also tried the:

LONDON FOG & BURNT TOFFEE FLAVOUR ICE CREAM IN EGG WAFFLE CONE
I was already super stuffed from my own ice cream sandwich so I didn't try the other girls' ice creams :( but here are some testimonials:

"AWESOMENESS, DELICIOUS, UNSTOPPABLE"
- Thanks Cee :) LOL

"The egg waffle cone was a perfect paring with Bang Bang's unique ice cream flavour. The cone itself was sweet, slightly soggy and soft but still held up as we devoured it bubble by bubble."
- Thanks Crystal :)!

Drake One Fifty *.

3.5/5 stars - I'd say Drake One Fifty leans towards Canadian comfort foods.

The interior of the restaurant is retro-looking with a large bar area.

Expect the bar area to get more packed as the night progresses.

FOR DRINKS: Whiskey on the rocks (not for me!)

ALBACORE TUNA TATAKI
Loved the ancho chile oil and the charred green onion as the tuna tataki pairing. Finished this up so quickly - yummy!

RABBIT CRESTE DE GALLO
The sauce was creamy and filling. Delicious.

ST. CANUT SUCKLING PIG
The roasted pork shoulder was very tender - I thought it would be harder in texture but it was surprisingly very juicy and soft. The honey glazed onions were also nicely done.

iFLY Toronto *.

This was SO MUCH FUN! Amazing experience :)
Peter took me here as a surprise and surely enough, it was an awesome surprise ;)
Initially he made me believe I was going rafting LOL
(Good job Pbb I was very very surprised - haha )

Registration and consent forms were quick. During the wait for our flying session, we got to watch other people fly in the wind tunnel. This is the time when you try to pick up the dos and don'ts for your own flight.

It actually takes quite a bit of effort to remain stable during your flight.
Highly recommending this experience to float / fly like a bird :)

Just a quick tip for the girls:
If you have long hair, put it up in a ponytail or in braids - unless you want dreadlocks..!

Cineplex VIP Experience *.

The hype was too high! Even though it's new and clean.. I expected more than that. :O
Service was excellent - we wanted to visit the patio area (It was closed because our movie ended late) and the waitress was so nice to open it up for our viewing. :)

We also missed the service session LOL but thanks to Peter's fast & SAFE driving, we got there on time and didn't miss any part of the movie :)
We finally watched Avengers by the way - I LOVED IT :D #RDJFan
Also found a new liking for Thor (spoiler alert: the part about the team trying to lift his hammer was too funny haha)

Anyhow back to the VIP experience:
The seats were too hard and stiff. Screen was also too small! I honestly prefer the IMAX theatre or DBOX instead..

TERAYAKI BURGER (with PINEAPPLE)
& POUTINE on the side
Amazing! I really liked it! The patty is similar to Mickey D's patty but it really hit the spot. I was so starved!

Sariwon Korean Bbq Restaurant *.

Sariwon is the place to go if you're looking for a more authentic KBBQ experience.

I'd highly recommend the MARINATED KALBI (only the marinated one!).
I want to know how they marinate their kalbi because they make it sooo yummy..

We also ordered the SAMGYEOPSAL (Pork). It's full of fatty good-ness.
The dinner set comes with a tofu soup too - definitely enough for a dinner for two :)
