Café Landmark - Hong Kong *.

❤ HAPPY LEAP DAY ❤

I've always loved the afternoon teas at Café Landmark.
I never got a chance to try their dinner menu until now!

The best frothy cappuccino
The view around the cafe... is where the birth of my Dior wallet happened :D

* Afternoon tea sets

❤

Dinner

We came here for a reunion with a group of friends
Best seats are at the booth seats on the side but we had too many people to fit there.
So happy to have this reunion - I haven't seen some of my friends for 5+ years :(

* BEEF CARPACCIO

* WAGYU BEEF BURGER

LOBSTER BISQUE (4/5)

The display could be better - but the taste was so yummy!
Very thick and rich in flavour. There are bits of lobster within the bisque.

LOBSTER LINGUINE (5/5)

It's so good :O!! Definitely a wise choice for us to book this place during our stay in Hong Kong. The lobster pasta has a very creamy and flavourful sauce, which makes this dish rich in flavour as well. I would order this again the next time I visit :)

After dinner, our crew went to LKF for drinks, where there was a live band! :D

This is probably the only "human" pic we took haha.. Here's Carmen and I :D

華姐清湯腩 Sister Wah - Hong Kong *.

My dad recommended 華姐清湯腩 Sister Wah to me.
P and I were staying around the area so it was very convenient for us to visit here.

Service was excellent! I was taking a picture of the beef noodles that we've ordered and the boss came over to re-position the noodle soup for me for better photo ops haha

BEEF BRISKET with egg noodle, clear soup (4/5)

It was so yummy! The boss recommended the rice noodle but I prefer egg noodle over that.
We came here twice during our stay in Hong Kong because it was so good :P

* Next time I'd like to try the veggie rice with beef brisket, a grammie at our table ordered it and it smelt and looked sooo gooddd :D

Pizza Hut - Hong Kong *.

I came to Pizza Hut with PB because I was being nostalgic.
It was my childhood favourite in Hong Kong. But what happened throughout these years?? D:

We walked around CWB beforehand for shopping and just wanted a nice meallll haha.. :(
Initially, P suggested we go somewhere else (themed restaurants) - We should've done that instead!!

DRINKS:

Cream sodas

The food was so bad and so was the service - snail paced D: Huge disappointment!

SPAGHETTI AMERICANA (2/5)

This used to be one of my favourite dishes at Pizza Hut. Unfortunately, it was dry and flavourless.

SEAFOOD PASTA w TOMATO SAUCE (1/5)

I can't remember what this pasta was called on the menu but it was so bad. The cherry tomatoes weren't flavoured properly. The positive note was that since this pasta was colourful, it turned out pretty nice in my pictures of the food LOL.

翠華餐廳 Tsui Wah Restaurant - Hong Kong *.

I've always loved the food at 翠華 (Tsui Wah)
PB and I came here in the morning, which wasn't as busy as we've expected.
My friend told me Tsui Wah has become a tourist trap but I don't think so - I liked it :P!
Service was excellent.

DRINKS:

Hong Kong style milk tea (my fave

SATAY BEEF w/ INSTANT NOODLE SOUP (4/5)
(with scrambled eggs and buttered crispy bun)

The satay beef noodles and the scrambled eggs were really good! I opted for the crispy bun because I thought it was 豬仔包 but it turned out to be a wheat bun lol.

CRISPY FISH FILLET (4/5)
(with scrambled eggs, beans and buttered crispy bun)

Mm! The fish fillet was delicious! Crispy on the outside and soft in the inside - what you would ask for in a fish fillet :)

池記 Chee Kei - Hong Kong *.

Excuse the hiatus for a while!
I didn't get lazy ;) I was just travelling around Asia!
Asia trip food and attractions to be updated :D #travelwithcherie  #eatwithcherie

We came to 池記 Chee Kei for lunch on a day of shopping at the Langham Place. Poor PB had to shop with me for a good 4-5 hours hahaha, boyfriend duties.

Service was great. We ordered in English :P

Drinks:

* Hot barley water
This was so delicious and healthy-tasting.

WONTON NOODLES (4/5)

I love their wonton!! The portion for this noodle soup is rather small.. but their wontons make up for it.

WONTONS & DUMPLINGS in chili oil (5/5)

I've always been a fan of chili oil wontons, but the sauce at Chee Kai was extra good. We actually used the chili oil to dip other things we ordered on the menu haha.

WONTON CONGEE (3/5)

My boyfriend ordered this - he said it was really really good. I'm not a big fan of congee so I give it a 3/5 :S *biased*

FISH BALLS (4/5)

Mm! It came with oyster sauce but my boyfriend and I both preferred the chili oil over that :)

Tapagria *.

Came to Tapagria for double date dinner and had a wonderful time here. Service was great.

The interior was nicely decorated and had a retro / classy feel to it.

We ordered a looootttt of food for 4 people:

DRINKS:

* LYCHEE SANGRIA (for us girls)

We couldn't taste any alcohol, which we liked. It was very sweet, but the boys said it was too sweet for their liking and ended up ordering beer lol.

* BEER (for the boys; Spanish beer - I forgot the name :S)

What I liked about the tapa dishes here was that everything actually came as a "sizzling hot tapas" dish - you'd be surprised at how many tapas dishes that come in room temperature..

JAMÓN WRAPPED DATES (5/5)

The jamón wrapped dates were delicious. It's new to me because I usually order jamón as a cold dish with cantaloupes.

SALTED COD CROQUETAS (5/5)

This was so good! The breaded crust was crunchy on the outside, soft in the inside. If only the portions were a tad bigger. Its taste is similar to a crab cake but I like the salted cod more in comparison.

GRILLED OCTOPUS (3/5)

The flavour of this tapas dish was great, but I didn't like the combo of octopus and olives (personal opinion because I'm "meh" with olives).

ROASTED BONE MARROW (3.5/5)

The roasted bone marrow was great! What could make it better is that the salt be added on the side rather than already on top of the bone marrow. It was a tad too salty! Otherwise, yummy! :)

PAELLA DE MARISCOS (3/5)
(bomba rice, lobster, shrimp, mussels, clams, calamari, saffron, peas)

They put a lot of ingredients! But we thought the other dishes that we've order stood out more than this paella.

CHULETÓN ASADO (4/5)
(32oz roasted rib eye, garlic, charred scallion, romesco)

Sooo good! The meat was very tender and juicy - if only there was less fat in the meats (we had to cut out a chunk of fatty out!). One of my favourite dishes of the night!

DESSERTS:

[ We were already stuffed after all the food we ordered... but there's always room for desserts... haha ]

CHURROS WITH NUTELLA (2/5)

Not special, and the churros were half its usual size.

SPANISH TOAST (5/5)

We should've just ordered two of this because it's SO GOOD! Tastes like the Japanese dessert "Mochi", which is a sticky rice that's sweet. It looks like a pancake - it's crispy on the outside but inside has a texture like a pudding / mochi. So good! I'd recommend you ordering this! :D
