Jean Philippe Patisserie - ARIA - Las Vegas, Nevada *.

Such an adorable looking place at ARIA :)

Came here for breakfast so I didn't have a chance to try out the pretty desserts - they're nicely displayed near the cashier.

The line up was quite long for mornings.

I ordered the turkey croissant and mocha which were so delish!! Loved everything they put it in the turkey croissant. The drinks were also not too sweet and very smooth.

Great choice for a quick coffee break too!

Bacchanal Buffet (Caesars Palace) - Las Vegas, Nevada *.

Best buffet during my trip here! :D So much variety and the quality of food surpasses all the other ones I've visited.

The lines are pretty crazy.. We checked out the line when we were passing by and the wait was at least 2 hrs.

Luckily lines weren't that long during the afternoon and thanks to our jetlag, it worked out well with our human clocks' "dinner" time. Haha.

Service was excellent - our waitress was so fast!

Items that stood out to me were the raw oysters (including the spicy oyster shoots - so delicious.), ramen station, the marinated chicken wings (in the Chinese food section), sweet potato balls and the dessert section (they organized that section so well - very colourful and pretty :D).

Gordon Ramsay BurGR - Las Vegas, Nevada *.

Mmm this was so good! The food gets 4 stars and +1 star for service :)

Expect a line up before the doors open! We were browsing around Planet Hollywood's casino area a little before the lines started picking up - didn't realize there would be such a long line up, so heads up!

The variety of burgers were great - the waiter was very knowledgable with the menu; he recommended items for our group and also named some of the popular items on the menu.

I like how all the burgers that we ordered were not oily at all.

DRINKS:
APPLE CIDER BEER

SNACKS:
BEER BATTERED MAUI ONION RINGS (4/5)
Usually onion rings have a very thin onion inside the batter, but they put two thick onion rings inside the batter - which I liked a lot. We were super full off of this already!

BURGERS:

FARM BURGER (4/5)
(duck breast bacon + english sharp cheddar + fried egg)
My favourite out of all the burgers we shared - soo juicy!

HELL'S KITCHEN BURGER (3.5/5)
(asadero cheese, roasted jalapeño peppers, avocado, oven roasted tomatoasadero cheese, roasted jalapeño peppers, avocado, oven roasted tomato)
Love the avocado combination. The jalapeno peppers aren't that spicy - which is good.

FISH & CRISP SANDWICH (4/5)
(ale battered cod, salt & vinegar crisps, fresh dill tartar sauce)
The portion is pretty big for this one - love the fish and tartar sauce combo. Very delicious; I think this can be for two people to share to be honest.. It was huge!

The Buffet at BELLAGIO - Las Vegas, Nevada *.

I liked Bellagio's buffet! This is the second buffet I went to during my trip and the food variety was great :)

Items that stood out to me were the king crab legs, marinated cod fish and prime rib.

Service was excellent. Our server was always available and she checked in with us in good intervals.

If you're going for Cirque du Soleil's "O" show the same night, make sure you head here early because the lines were already building up at around 4pm. (The show was super awesome by the way!!)

The Buffet at ARIA - Las Vegas, Nevada *.

Aria's buffet was good.. but when compared with the other buffets that I've visited during my stay - my "good" stamp became an "OK" stamp haha.

Service needs improvement - drinks and check-in intervals took a very long time. I'll give this place 3-3.5/5 stars.

SCALLOP AND ANGUS BEEF (medium rare)
The highlight of the buffet was the scallop and angus beef dish (the sides, which includes the wasabi flavoured mashed potato was yummy too!).

Here are my less fancy display of king crab legs, nachos + guac and sushi.

Several chefs were designated at separate stations of the buffet, you can request for them to cook you their specialty.

Here's a section of the dessert bar! :)

With the hotel facilities and rooms being so new and nice, I was expecting better food variety at the buffet.
Since I stayed here while I was in Vegas, it would've been nice if the buffet had better variety so we can escape the blazing heat outside!

Bubba Gump - Las Vegas, Nevada *.

LV TRIP FOODIE POSTS INCOMING :)
Reviewing Canadian and American food places (but not for Europe.. yet.. no yelp page!)

The theme of Bubba Gump is from the Forrest Gump movie - our server told us to flip the sign to get other waiters/waitresses' attention, cute concept.

Speaking of our server, BIG shout out to you, Shan! He gave us great recommendations for places to go, things to do in LV - so helpful, thank you! :)

MANGO SHAKER
[No-alchy]
So yummy! Since it was like a sauna outside, this drink was thrist-quenching. Tasted like a mango soda.

FORREST'S SEAFOOD FEAST(Hand Breaded Southern Fried Shrimp, Seafood Hush Pups, Fish & Chips)Loved the shrimp.. was very delicious - especially if you add the tartar sauce with it! (sauce boss here..)

SHRIMP + FISH + SKEWER
[I can't remember the name they had on the menu -_-]
The title says it all. The shrimps were once again marinated deliciously! Comparing the two mains that we've ordered, I'd prefer the fried foods :P

It was nice here with the full-blown AC before we headed out for our "sauna" weather.

Canoe *.

Happy 4th of July and Happy belated Canada Day :) !!

Came to Canoe with my mom and Peter (Thanks babe!
It's always so nice to get a seat near the windows to get a better view of the city.

I'm updating my past review for Canoe - I still give this place 5 stars!
Service was excellent. Our waiter was very friendly and courteous. He was babying our table haha

Drinks:
White wine pairing (i forgot the name.. but it was towards the sweet side)

Appetizers:

S'MORES FOIE GRAS
(graham cracker crumble, chocolate sauce and toasted marshmallow cream)
So far I still think Canoe makes one of the best foie gras dishes in Toronto. I've tried other ways of making the foie gras dishes at Canoe before and it never disappoints! Always very delicious.

Mains:

WAGYU TRI-TIP
(smoked tongue, king oyster mushrooms, purple potato + bacon chive jus)
Highly recommending this! So glad they didn't take this off the menu - out of all the dishes I've tried so far, the wagyu beef is the most tender and delicious one :)

ONTARIO LAMB DUO
(roasted loin + olive anchovy rubbed lamb ham, rosemary artichokes, fresh shelled beans)
Such a cute display. The lamb was very tender (each meat was a different part of the lamb).
The veggies paired with it were also delish!

GRASS RUBBED BISON RIB EYE
(green tomato, horseradish greens, pickled cauliflower, tonka bean + k2 Milling grain pakoras)
The meats were amazing - but I didn't really like the pickled cauliflower. A little too sour for my taste. Other than that, everything about this dish was wonderful.

Dessert:

CLASSIC CANOE BUTTER TART
(smoked vanilla cream, flax seed nougatine, rye + ginger ice cream)
We were actually trying to order the dessert that we got last time but chose the wrong one haha. BUT! It was a good "mistake" because this was DELICIOUS!! So yummy!!
I loved it - especially the ginger ice cream!! It was a lovely combo with the flax seed nougatine (if only they had more of this! :D)
